                  भागवत पुराण सप्ताह यज्ञ विधि

 सनत्कुमार जी कहने लगे हे श्रेष्ठ मुनियों ! अब मैं आपके समक्ष श्रीमद् भागवत की कथा श्रवण करने हेतु समय और विधि का वर्णन करता हूं जिसे कलयुग में मानव अपना कर परम सद्गति को प्राप्त हो सकता है।

यह परम मोक्ष दायिनी धन जन प्राप्ति हेतु कथा आषाढ़, श्रावण ,भाद्रपद,कार्तिक अगहन और बैसाख मास में करानी चाहिए। प्रथमा ,अष्टमी तथा रिक्ता तिथि इसके लिए वर्जित है कथा के स्थान पर को पवित्र करके मंडप बनाकर कदली खंबो (केले का स्तंभ )तथा बंदनवार आदि रंगीन कागजों एवं पताकों से सजाना चाहिए जहां तक हो सके अधिक से अधिक लोगों को यज्ञ में आमंत्रित कर बुलाना चाहिए ।  सबको उचित आसन देना चाहिए। हो सके तो विद्वान पंडित  से ही प्रसन्न होने योग्य पूर्णाहुति के दिन दक्षिणा देना चाहिए  पंडित को चाहिए की विधिपूर्वक भगवान वासुदेव की प्रतिमा मंडप में विराजमान कर षोडशोपचार पूजन करें। तत्पश्चात श्रोताओं को कथा श्रवण कराना चाहिए। कथा कहने वाले और सुनने वाले दोनों को 7 दिनों तक ब्रह्मचर्य का व्रत पालन करते हुए जमीन पर सोना चाहिए।

 इतना कहकर सनत्कुमार ने नारद को कथा सुनाना आरंभ कर दिया उस समय वहां सुखदेव जी भी आ गए नारद जी ने उनका पूजन कर उच्चासन पर बिठाया

English translation

Bhagwat Purana Week Yajna method

 Santkumar ji said, O great sages!  Now I will tell you the time and method of listening to the story of Shrimad Bhagwat, which in Kali Yuga, human beings can adopt and attain supreme salvation.

 To attain wealth, this ultimate salvation should be done in Katha Ashada, Shravan, Bhadrapad, Kartik Aghan and Baisakh month.  Prathama, Ashtami and Rikta Tithi are forbidden for this, making the place sacred in the story and making a pavilion, it should be decorated with colored papers and poems like Kadali Khambo (Banana Pillar) and Bandanwar etc. Inviting as many people as possible to the Yagya.  needed .  Everyone should give proper posture.  If possible, one should give Dakshina on the day of Purnahuti, to be pleased with the scholarly pundit, the pundit should methodically worship Lord Vasudev in the mandap and worship Shodashopchar.  After that the audience should listen to the story.  Both the storyteller and the hearer should sleep on the ground while observing the vow of celibacy for 7 days.

 Saying this, Santkumar started narrating the story to Narada, at that time Sukhdev ji also came there and Narada ji worshiped him and sat on high governance.
